Software

The CYANExpert 130 is our fastest biochemistry au-

tomate. With 130 tests per hour in random access it

o ers a lot of  exibility. It is an e ective and reliable

analyzer with  rst class software.

In our vision, the software is the vital element of the

CYANExpert 130. We integrated all our knowledge in

the programming. Our goal was to hide all technical

sophistication so that users can bene t from an easy

and intuitive operation.

During daily use, the operators of the CYANExpert 130 will not realize how many operations like quality control, instru-

ment and results checks, interconnectivity and others are performed simultaneously in the background.

The following examples highlight the sophistication of the CYANExpert 130 software:

• The CYANExpert 130 checks on a test per test basis if there is su cient volume of reagent, washing solution and

sample available to perform the test. If insu cient volumes are detected, the analyzer will proceed with the remain-

ing workload. A warning informs the operator about this.

This safeguard enables the operator to handle other tasks while the analyzer is working.

This safeguard results in increased productivity of the laboratory sta (multitasking becomes possible), reduced

costs (as no analysis will be invalid due to lacking washing solution, reagents, samples,…) and a higher reliability of

the results (tests performed without su cient reagents are excluded).

• With the bar code reader and connected LIS (Laboratory Information System) and HIS (Hospital Information System)

the CYANExpert’s results can be delivered to all medical units in the medical facility. The medical team can get their

requested information much quicker.

Additionally the system also has a “test counter” for easy reporting of the activities to the accounting department.

The convenience of the data transmission reduces the workload and enables the laboratory to focus on their clini-

cal tasks while reducing administrative tasks.

• The reporting is straightforward with the database management software. The users can look up the results by

sample ID and patient ID. This option simpli es the reporting of historical patient results. The lab can forward all the

patient’s recorded results in a few seconds.

This way, the patient’s evolution becomes clearly visible to the doctors and contributes to better therapeutic

choices.

• The CYANExpert 130 is an intelligent system that performs self-checks. It detects, de nes and indicates its own er-

rors. The technical service can therefore intervene quicker and arrive with the required spare parts.

These functionalities reduce the downtime and increases laboratory productivity.

• The instrument performs the sample re-runs and dilutions automatically according to the operator’s programming.

These options enable the laboratory to better validate the results while reducing the workload.
